The RODE VideoMic Pro is a compact directional on-camera microphone featuring a Rycote Lyre shock mounting system and an all-new capsule that offers lower noise and higher sensitivity. Designed and manufactured in Australia, the RODE VideoMic Pro is a broadcast-quality condenser microphone with a compact form factor (150mm/6" length) and ultra-lightweight design (85g/3oz). It is powered by a 9V battery, providing over 70 hours of use (with alkaline batteries), and includes integrated shock mounting and a foam windscreen. This mic has a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack output (dual mono), a two-step high-pass filter (flat, 80Hz), and a three-position level control (-10dB, 0, +20dB). It also features a camera shoe mount with a 3/8" thread for easy boom pole mounting. The VideoMic Pro is a true shotgun microphone, ideal for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras, and portable audio recorders for primary and reference audio. It uses a new 1/2" condenser capsule to deliver broadcast-quality audio via a 3.5mm mini-jack connector, outputting the mono signal to both left and right channels with an incredibly low self-noise of just 14dB. The super-cardioid polar pattern minimizes surrounding audio and ensures your recording is focused on the subject in front of the camera. The mic's standard shoe mount allows for on-camera use, and the 3/8" thread at the base enables easy boom pole mounting. Powered by a 9V battery, it offers over 70 hours of recording time. In addition to its native 40Hz-20kHz frequency response, the selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz helps prevent low-end noise. The latest RODE VideoMic Pro does not come with a warranty.
