The Rode VideoMic NTG On-Camera Shotgun Microphone provides video content creators, run-and-gun filmmakers, voiceover artists, and podcasters with the sound of the acclaimed NTG shotgun microphones in a compact, camera-mounted design that requires no additional adapters to connect with cameras, smartphones, tablets, portable recorders, and USB-equipped computers. With its focused directivity, continuously adjustable gain, digitally switched tone controls, and an internal USB-rechargeable battery, the VideoMic NTG delivers clear, transparent sound and exceptional versatility. Featuring aerospace-grade aluminum housing, it is durable, lightweight, and compact, making it ideal for use atop a camera or mounted on a boompole. The auto-sensing 3.5mm TRRS output and included TRRS cable ensure seamless compatibility with a wide range of devices—no adapters needed. The mic also includes a peak warning light, a -20 dB pad, and a selectable -20 dB safety channel to help prevent distortion in recordings. When used as a USB microphone, the 3.5mm jack acts as a stereo headphone output for real-time monitoring. Additionally, the VideoMic NTG is MFi-certified for use with Lightning-equipped Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod) when paired with the Rode SC15 USB Type-C to Lightning accessory cable (sold separately).
