The D-Link HTB-3100A Fiber Optic Media Converter is a 10/100M Singlemode Single Fiber Converter designed to convert Ethernet optical-electronic signals between a 10/100M UTP interface (TX) and a 100M Fiber interface (FX). It allows traditional 10/100M Fast Ethernet to be extended up to 90km through a Single Optical Fiber link. The product’s excellent performance and quality are achieved through the use of the latest IC technology from Taiwan. This device must be used in pairs, as the transmitted and received optical signals differ in wavelength. Equipped with 6 LED indicator lights, it provides complete monitoring of the converter's working status, making it easy for end-users to observe network conditions. The D-Link HTB-3100A is specially designed for network users, enabling the transmission of optical signals over a single fiber, effectively doubling the fiber data transmission capacity compared to twin fiber types. Its auto-negotiation function allows the UTP port to automatically select between 10M or 100M speeds, and Full Duplex or Half Duplex modes. The UTP port also supports MDI/MDI-X auto crossover and flow control, with support for 1552-byte packets. Additionally, the converter features an internal circuit that prevents thunder damage, reducing the risk of damage from lightning induction. The device offers the option of either internal or external power supply, providing flexibility for users. The D-Link HTB-3100A Fiber Optic Media Converter (Single Unit) is sold without a warranty.
